The Top 10 Movies of the Summer

The Top 10 Movies of the Summer.

Personally myself I thought this summer kicked ass! From great drama films to your next action blockbuster to the next unfunny comedy. So right now I will count down my favorites. Now take in mind I have not seen EVERY movie that came out. For example, I still have not seen Richard Linklaters Boyhood, I really do want to see it. So lets start!

#10: Get on Up

I am not a huge James Brown fan. Never found the groove of his music. But I slightly enjoyed this as it has good acting and good direction.

#9: Chef
I am NOT a food guy. Nor really a fan of Jon Faverau. The last good movie he directed was Iron Man, and that was EIGHT years ago. But I decided that I wanted to see this. And while it does have flaws I did like this. Its a feel good movie. I liked the acting and the message of the movie, which is pretty much dont sell out. It does take a while to get to something ( Like 45 minutes.) But overall I really liked it. Its a feel good movie with a few comedic scenes to make for a fun time.

#8: Jersey Boys

Another musical biopic. Ok, lets get this out of the way, why is this better then Get On Up? You get to know the music, and the characters. And I was rarely bored with it. Is it perfect? No. The acting is not very good and it takes a while to get to something, but overall I did like this. And after watching the movie, I started listening to The Four Seasons. They are not bad! I actually quite like them.

#7: Snowpiercer

This is a great movie. It takes the dystopian genre something new. While I did enjoy the plot I did not enjoy the characters or the acting. I am not a huge fan of Chris Evans. But damn I had fun watching this Hunger Games can suck on this.

#6: Guardians of the Galaxy

One of the more fun movies on the list. While I did enjoy it I don't think its the perfect movie some people make it out to be. But I cant deny I had a lot of fun watching this. I did think the story was not very good and the villain was weak. But overall, its a fun movie.

#5: The Amazing Spider-Man 2

I know this is a controversial choice. Some people hate this movie. But I really enjoyed it. Yes it has flaws. And some of them I completely agree with. But I just enjoyed it so much. Andrew Garfield is a perfect Spider-Man in my opinion, Emma Stone is great. Electro and Green Goblin are disappointing But again its so damn enjoyable And I just thought it was better then GOTG.

#4: Neighbors

Another controversial pick. People hate this movie. But I thought it was hilarious. Maybe people just dont like Seth Rogen, or hate laughing. In a comedy movie all I want to do is laugh. Neighbors made me laugh my ass off. Thats why its high on the list.

#3: Edge of Tomorrow

This movie surprised me.Now, I was looking forward to it, but I thought the critics would not like this. But it turned out they did! So I was more eager to watch this. And... It kicked ass! I like the story, characters and the acting. And even the direction. I was never bored and loved every second of it. God bless every minute of this great movie. This is my definition of a good summer blockbuster action movie.

#2: Dawn of the Planet of the Apes

This is a smart, emotional, and nonetheless fun ride. I may have enjoyed Edge more. But this movie almost got to me. Like make me cry. How can a movie about Apes against Humans make me cry? I dont know. Thats all I have to say about this movie...

#1: X-Men: Days of Future Past

A fun, emotional and damn right entertaining movie. This movie is exactly what I wanted it to be. In short, it was spectacular. One of the best movies of the year

Transcendence Movie Review

TRANSCENDENCE: THE NEXT BIG DISAPPOINTMENT

Anyways, Transcendence stars Johnny Depp Who plays Dr. Will Caster, a man who is running a pretty controversial idea. Make a AI with a range of human emotion. Apparently an anti tech group known as RIFT decides they don't like him and they shoot him. He does not die but the bullet was laced with poison so it will kill him.

His wife Evelyn (Rebecca Hall) and best friend Max (Paul Bettany) then upload his mind to a computer and he lives through an AI.

Ok, the story is great idea yet gets into complete cheese until the end. The acting for most part is good.

Wally Pfister is the director. Now take note he was a cinematographer so the shoots and angles looks really good. And the films also looks nice as well.
But other then that, its ok I guess...

So I give TRANSCENDENCE a 6/10. the film din't  really bore me, but the characters are one-note and the movie felt longer then what it was... And I am kinda sad because I wanted this movie to Kick ASS.
